The primary aim is to work with the pateint to develop a treatment plan best suited to give optimal outcomes. The complexity of caring for patients with cardiac and thoracic surgical problems requires a close collaboration with specialists in multiple areas including cardiologists, pulmonologists, cardiac anesthesia, cardiac surgery critical care, perfusionists and nursing.
